VENTURE NEWS

Since lockdown our Venture section have moved their weekly meetings to the online zoom platform.

In March this year they were working on Sustainable Development goals. They were given the challenge of  making fat balls for bird feeding.  All the Ventures did this challenge together over zoom. At the end of the meeting the Ventures had to hang their fat balls out in their own back gardens to see if the wild birds of Carlow like them. Well the results were in and the wild birds in Carlow really enjoyed them.  See photos below.

We welcome you to our 5th Carlow Town Venture group.
Ventures is all about getting to meet new people, building great new friendships, adventuring, travelling, having a laugh, and drinking lots of tea.

We the Ventures are putting together a brief description just to give you an idea of what you are missing out on.

Meetings: Our Venture group meetings are normally held on a Friday night at our Scout Den from 8:30pm – 10:00pm.
Where we would sit around with a cup of tea of course and we would chat about planning events, overnights, hikes e.g. camping, day trips and group activities.

Dress code: Our Venture meeting are very relaxed, just casual clothing is required along with our necker. But on special occasion we do wear our full uniform.

Our Group: Our Venture group is such an easy-going group and we are extremely lucky to be apart of such an amazing mix of guys and gals. Not forgetting our amazing leaders Mick Byrne and Gale Scanlan.
